Date Night

Last night, my husband and I decided to take a break from our new Wii as we are fairly sore (hehehe) and have a date night. We're on a fairly tight budget so anytime that we can figure out how to go out and have a nice time on the cheap is always a plus.

For dinner we finally went to a restaurant that we had been threatening to go to for a long time, The Flaming Grill Cafe. Great burgers and since it's beer week here in town the beers on tap were only $2 a pint! Whoo-hoo!! Hubby had the Buffalo mushroom & Swiss burger while I tried the Smokehouse burger. The buffalo was reported as yummy and the husband was searching for lost mushrooms on his plate when it was gone, as for mine, I'm still getting used to eating burgers after a long hiatus, but this one was very yummy and we will definitely be back again. Hubby has declared that he wants to go through all of the different meats: buffalo, llama, elk, venison, kangaroo, ostrich and more! If you get a chance, stop on by. Don't be afraid of the outdoor only seating, the staff is great and they do a real good job at making you feel welcome.

After dinner, we headed back to our "hood" to check out a preview of a new play opening at The Big Idea Theatre which is a small live theatre on Del Paso Blvd. The play was great, and for $5 a person, made for a very cheap date night.

"Almost, Maine" officially opens tonight and runs through March 27th. If you want a date night with your honey or just a night out, I highly recommend it. The cast does a great job and you will find yourself laughing at all the ways love will rear it's head and what it will do to you.
